About

This blog is managed by me, Stephen M. Legler.  It is a place for me to put my random thoughts on various topics.  I was born and raised in Louisville, KY but have lived the last 11+ years in Michigan.  I love college basketball; especially, my Louisville Cardinals.

Professionally, I am a 12+ year employee of Microsoft (as of January 2001).  For the last 2.5 years, I have had the privilege of being the Client Technical Solutions Professional.  My primary focus is to work with our enterprise customers and sharing with them the value of the Microsoft client ecosystem.  This includes helping customers realize the value of Windows 7 and Windows 8, how to manage large-scale desktop deployments with our System Center Configuration Manager solution, and covering a number of technologies around client security, application and user virtualization, etc.  Lately, I’ve been very focused on Windows 8, Consumerization of IT / Bring-Your-Own-Device Strategy, mobile devices and tablets including the Microsoft Surface and our OEM Partner devices.

As a Microsoft employee, I am very careful on what I share and what I cannot share.  You will never find any leaked information.  My goal of this blog is to share some of my more interesting finds or thoughts in hopes that you may find value in some of the information shared.  In a land of “everyone is a blogger” I don’t want to just repeat or regurgitate already existing information.  However, you may find me referencing an article or blog and put my own spin or thoughts on it.  You may find a mixture of technical blogs as well as my personal interests (i.e. college basketball, books I’m reading, or hobbies I’m interested in).  On this blog, I will stay away from any political commentary.

Feel free to follow me.
