Yesterday, a Press Release went live to share the news that one of Japan’s leading insurance companies, Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance, will provide their 30,000 sales personnel with Windows 8 running on a customized Fujitsu tablet.
As stated by Erwin Visser on Windows for your Business, Meiji Yasuda’s goal
is to enhance the way they engage their customers and deliver on a vision of serving customers anytime, anywhere, and doing so without giving up the benefit of a connected office experience.
Windows Security was another primary benefit for the decision to go with Windows 8 as the preferred platform:
Keeping data protected: Meiji Yasuda is able to encrypt customer records and keep them stored centrally, allowing sales personnel to travel with their tablets and access necessary customer data without any security risks.
Microsoft has recently made the Windows 8.1 Enterprise Preview bits available and it is expected to RTM late August.
